This one didn't suck me in as fast as the first 2 books in the series, perhaps because it is more of a frenemies to love than a bully story. The H is clearly the pursuer even though he has reservations. The h has a huge chip on her shoulder that makes you want to shake her and tell her to just relax and enjoy the ride.

This book is frustrated me for a number of reasons
1) I had high expectations after Boys of Brayshaw and unfortunately each subsequent story has not lived up to the first one
2) I'm frustrated that this story continues to revolve heavily around the sibling characters and rehashing the first 3 books with not enough focus on our H and h
3) The plots moving too slowly, see above
4) I feel like I'm missing something.

This is extremely slow burn. I'm waiting for some action already. LOL. I feel the character of Avalon would have been better as a male character. She's got one hell of a chip on her shoulder and her aggression is unfounded. A rebel without a cause. I am enjoying the character of Mara. I like that Willow Aster has written Mara as fallible and capable of jealousy, rage, fear, envy, anxiety, hurt and all the other negative emotions that other authors fear for their heroines. I like that Mara blankets herself in these negatives simply in self preservation. She is so much more vulnerable than her tough, mean, angry exterior. She is so much more real& relatable

I had to abandon this. There just wasn't enough chemistry between the 2 main characters.

I tried to like this book because I like the genre and due to some reviews. But I had to abandon it after chapter 5. I *thought* this was a bully, enemies to lovers genre.
