all of the people who said this book was fantastic esp in audio format were RIGHT.

it is very science heavy (which for science fiction is actually quite rare) but it doesn’t feel bogged down by the language. having the narrator be a school science teacher was a brilliant choice for which the information comes from.

these characters feel like such representations of specific mental illnesses it feels like winnie the pooh ngl. miri- anxiety. leah- depression. etc.

Drapetomania, the writing is insane. Even more stunning made by googling the meaning of the title word.

A PSA that I cannot recommend this collection enough. Taking a chance on short story lit (way out of my comfort zone) was the best decision I could have made. The ability of these authors to build an immersive world/story in 30-40 pages… I am in awe.
