Book club reading!

Of course it’s interesting and easy to read. I just love Allison’s writing.

I forgot I read another of her books, “A Queens Fortune.” The book about Napoleons mistress, Desiree Clary. So this is book four

I read two of Allison’s books so far, Sisi and The Traitor’s Wife. I loved both of them. I’m already enjoying this book and I’ve just started. Her books move along, not dwelling forever on one situation the character finds herself in.

100 pages left and it finally decides to get good.

This book is very very interesting. For me, it’s the type of book I bring a pencil and notebook to read. This book is to be read very slowly and you need to comprehend the things that are said. It goes against many things you’ve believed your whole life about Jesus Christ and the Bible.

182 pages to go. Should I continue or stop wasting my time. I so wanted this book to get better. The premise is so good, but it doesn’t hit any exciting mark. I love the characters, I love the era it is set, the writing can be clever with lots of neat little letters, articles and witchcraft info scattered throughout, but it just isn’t interesting. It’s so sad.

I’m too far into this book to stop reading it. I cant wait until it’s finished. The concept is great, witches of 1890’s in NYC, but it’s so boring.
