I love that Kitay's response to every major inconvenience in his way is just to become even more inconvenient in return. Not that it's working or anything. But it's relatable.

I think I legitimately trauma blocked this scene the first time I read it, so I did not see it coming. I have no words. It snuck up on me — I decided to read some of the book during a study break and suddenly I'm just sitting here shaking.

the fact that it's a TWELVE YEAR OLD GIRL who has this line —
