Five stars. This was such an exhilarating read! I’ve never been so excited to dive into a book. As soon as I woke up, I thought, “When I have free time, I’ll just indulge in a few chapters.” It was addictive, immersive, and incredibly fun. The twists and turns were deliciously satisfying. This book is a true love letter to romantic fantasy fans like me. Now, I’m in agony, eagerly awaiting the next book

I was so so happy to see Indigo email with this new book release. I was so pleasantly surprised it got released only yesterday! Love this series. They tend to find me at my worst and lift my spirits! Heroine is so imaginative, it hit so close to my Piscean home and heart. Love this so much so far. Feb 11, 11:44

Obsessed. The tension? Oof.

Finally started reading this. Plot is unique and setting is quite interesting so far. Although I feel like they liked each other right away, I still love how they banter and tease each other. Enjoying so far and can’t wait to meet the dragoooons.

The plot and setting is unique. I’m engaged fully and glad I started this (thanks Libby). Although there are few dark themes and this beware and read trigger warnings beforehand. Other than that I’m so intrigued on how the story will progress. Finally something fresh and new!

Wanted to read this 3y ago and got free credit on audible. Perfect for my daily walks. So far the main character is interesting. Setting is spooky and eerie.

Second book is more “epic” and high scaled which was refreshing. I’d say solid 3.75 to 4 stars. Enjoyed my time reading. Was entertained. Romance was done solid and at the end a single tear decided to escape haha.

Well, I predicted Alex’s fate but not like that. Shocked at Verity plot. And the ending was so chaotic.
Plot: interesting but had few questions 3/5
Romance: kinda rushed. Chemistry is low to moderate . I did not believe them and felt dry? It just started to get more interesting and then ending happened. Curios for more tho! 2/5 now Entertainment: I enjoyed cat mouse game 3.5/5 final rating is 3

I’m intrigued at their mouse cat tension. Truly curious on his reaction and how the story would develop.
I still sense betrayal. That housekeeper is sus.

So far it’s good but their age makes me cringe. She’s 18 and already manages her Bridgerton estate and huge business, ships + socialite and high stake relations? He’s 20 and he’s already nearly a commander and a revolutionary hero?
I wish they were in their mid 20s and it would have been more…believable.

Listening to this on Via Rial made the trip so fast. I also like how we get to read about other contestants story. It makes them multidimensional and real rather than supplementary characters that serve the main leads.

Thank God I downloaded it on Libby. Perfect for no screen airplane ✈️ travel. Enjoying it so far. It’s like Bridgerton and Once Upon of Broken Heart with its whimsical mysterious vibe.

Finished in two days for real. Sick, so had all day to myself. Very cute light palette cleanser romcom. Loved their easy flowing witty conversations. Crying myself to sleep today because I want it too so bad. 4/5

Finally some time off to read. Village vibes, banya, nature - perfect.

I like that the plot is unlike any other. Romance is not instant and very slow. Way more complex.
Pace is just a tiny bit slow for my liking.

Idk how she will forgive him after everything unless there would be some horrible diabolical truth about her father?

Plot: 4.75 I thought it would be cliche tournament plot but it is actually way more. I didn’t expect some staff and gasped so many times.
Entertainment: solid 4. Stakes were high, odds against. I was hooked and interested how it would progress.
Romance: 4. The pace fitted the story. No insta love. Slow burn.
Excited for the next book. 4.25 stars
