This book is HORRIBLE! I don’t know why I’m bothering to keep reading. The writing is horrible, there is no real plot, just scenes in between not hot sex scenes and none of it makes sense.

I may have to DNF this, the writing is terrible! The dialogue is stilted and oddly formal and it reads almost like a middle school book report.

This book is terrible! The writing jumps around and I never have any idea who’s talking or where characters are. And there’s this line: “... Sex Face is like O Face. You only reveal that to people who have mingled their juices with yours.” The author is trying SO hard to be funny and is failing miserably.

Why is no one freaking out about a character just openly admitting they roofied someone?? It’s almost like a passing reference except it’s how the two main characters meet...

And I’m sorry it’s ridiculous to name your book “Take Me for Granted” and name your main character Grant 🙄

I keep thinking "kiss me Hardy" and it makes me want to cry.

I already know this is a book I will fight for to be on the Land of Enchantment award list.

The main character mentions several times her mother had her when she was 16 but then says her mother met her father the summer before she started college. So... she started college at 15? Or did the author not pay attention to her own timeline?

Pushing of another author's book in the text always reads so awkward to me and this is no different.

I can get behind a magical tree that heals and grants never ending life, I can't get behind the main character starting junior high in Albuquerque. We don't have junior highs, we have middle schools and that seems like such an easy thing to research.

This book just lost me when the main character librarian asked her boyfriend to read at storytime for her. Nope, never happening in real life.

As with the other 2, this book started off really slowly but now I can't read fast enough! I have to force myself to stop well before bedtime because it gives me bad dreams
