So I have seen the Tim Burton movie of Sweeney Todd and the musical version from Stephen Sondheim. When I found out that the original "revenge plot version" of Sweeney Todd came from Christopher Bond as a play, I had to read it! So far, I love it. So many of the lyrics from the musical come from dialogue in the play, but I can't help but sing them to myself as they read.

Tris has been doing very well in her new faction. The trainers and other Dauntless are starting to respect her more. But on Visiting day, I was not all that surprised when her mother came, but her father didn't. She had excepted it better than he had. And I was shocked to find out why. Tris's mother used to be a Dauntess! I wonder, what made her choose Abnegation?

I am very proud of Tris (aka Beatrice). When she found out that she was Divergent, instead of choosing the faction her parents wanted her to choose, she decided to go with the faction that best fits who she is. As the book continues, the reader can tell that Tris is showing her braver side. She was the first to jump off the building during one of the Dauntless tests.

The damage Lena has done when she broke the seventeenth moon has started to become extreme! But just when no one thought things could get any worse, dark magic is taking over. I'm especially worried for Ethan. The darkest caster to ever live, Abraham, is out to get Ethan because he thinks Ethan knows where the partial incubus, John Breed, is. But no one knows, so what is Ethan going to say to Abraham Ravenwood?!

I feel terrible for Ridley. After she lost her power, she has been in denial. Ridley's trademark and what mad her so unique was he powers as a Siren. Now that's gone, and she feels empty. And if this wasn't bad enough for her, she has to watch her on again off again boyfriend turn from a human to a partial incubus!

I am extremely surprised to see that Macon was alive this entire time! He was trapped inside a prison that Ethan's dead mother put him in, so that he wouldn't die and could help Ethan save Lena! Now, it is more important than ever to get to Lena because she had been going dark mostly because she thinks she killed Macon. But he is actually alive!

This must be a lot for Ethan to take in right now. He has just found out that his mom was involved in the Caster world, loved Macon (Lena's uncle), and was killed by Sarafine! As if he didn't already have enough to deal with, since Lena is possibly going dark. But before his mom knew about casters, the information she knew could help Ethan save Lena. This reminds me that there is good in bad and bad in good.

Ethan has had visions before. But the people in the visions could never seen him, but suddenly, now that can. I think the reason for this is because Lena is becoming dark, and Ethan doesn't know what he can do about it. But that doesn't stop him from trying to find the answer. And I think the people in the visions might now more about Ethan's situation than he might think.

It seems like Lena is carrying less and less about Ethan, as she hands out with Ridley and John more. This is shown when Ethan sees her dancing with John in a loving way, and all she cares about is the fact that he was following her. But Ethan really needs to face the fact that Lena may be going dark. After all her eyes have turned pure gold, the color of a dark caster's eyes.

Lena has been changing drastically as the book goes on. She is acting more and more like a dark caster but at the same time she's still the girl Ethan knows and loves. Every time John Breed tells her to do something, she does it, and it's always bad. But he has eyes as green as a light caster's. I am unsure of what or who he is.

In this book, and the previous one, Ethan and Lena have been faced with a situation; Lena's claiming. And they are always warned by a song. I think these songs have been trying to tell them something and they should pay more attention. The song hasn't lied once, and it cost them the life of one person already. If they want to stay together, they are going to have to uncover the message begins the lyrics.

I feel bad for Ethan. He's already had to cope with the loss of his mother, and now he has to cope with Macon's passing. Macon might have not always been the nicest to Ethan, but he was only looking out for Lena. He truly was a good man at heart.

I feel really bad for Ethan. He's already lost his mother, and now he has to cope with the lose of Macon. Yes, Macon was not always the nicest to him, but he was Lena's uncle. And he only wanted the best for her. So it would be wrong to not grieve the loss of Macon. He was a good man at heart, and Ethan knew it.

(Author's Craft) The book starts from where the first one ended; Lena's uncle had died. So this book immediately started with a funeral. This set the mood to be very gloomy. Ethan and the Casters from Lena's family were there, making it very uncomfortable for Ethan.

There are a few themes in my book but the main theme (so far) is, fight for what you believe in, not what everyone else does. When Lena came to Ethan's school, everyone judged her because her uncle was Macon Ravenwood, the town shut-in. But that did not make Ethan dislike her, even though she did cause many unnatural things to happen. But he fought for her, not against her, like everyone else.

A poem that keeps coming up in this book is called Sixteen Moons. One line that shows figurative language is, "moon or Sun destroy me here." The moon or Sun, in reality, can't destroy you. But I think what this line means, referring to reality, is that the moon and Sun, as shown in the book, represent power, and in life, power can be used to your advantage or against you.

Lena Duchannes wants to be accepted by the other students, but when Ethan wants to be her friend, she pushes him away. I think this is because she is afraid that if he finds out the truth about her being a caster, that he will be scared away, then she will have no friends all over again. But she won't really know unless she tries.

I think Grace's parents are taking this situation with Sam way too far. From the perspective of an adult, it might seem like they're doing the right thing by grounding Grace. But from the perspective of a teen, it doesn't seem fair that they are now forbidding Grace from seeing Sam. Her parents just don't understand they love each other and even though they might have made mistakes, this punishment is not fair.

I wonder why Grace doesn't just run away from home, even though she keeps thinking about it and it is a tempting thought. Her parents just don't understand how strong her connection with Sam is, and they are trying to break the two of them apart. But I think the reason Grace doesn't run away is because she is very responsible and knows that isn't the way to solve things.

I think that Grace has more than just the flu. Even after she was told by the doctor that she was better, she still felt extremely sick in her stomach, and uncomfortable in her body. Even Isabel noticed that she had more than a virus, and Grace smelled like a wolf. She was bitten by one a long time, and never changed, but I think she might finally phase into a wolf.

Sam is the kind of person who wishes he could do one thing, even though its usually not a great idea, but say actually does the smart thing. This shows when him and Grace are separated by her parents, and Grace calls him saying she wants to go to his house and sleep there. Even though the idea sounds pleasing to a part of Sam, the other part is thinking that would be wrong, so he just tells her he misses her.

When Grace's parents find Sam sleeping in Grace's bed with her, they immediately kick Sam out and tell him not to come back. But I think Grace's parents were a little too quick to judge. Sam was staying there because he didn't have any where else to go where he would feel safe. But putting myself in her parent's shoes, I understand why they would be so upset.

There are many ways a writer could come up with a story. But in Stephenie Meyer's case, it was a dream that started The Twilight Saga. She described it by saying, "this was not the first time she had dreamed in story form... But this dream was something different" (43). This shows how easy it was for an idea to come to Stephenie's head, like she was born for writing.

Stephenie Meyer has made a very big impact on the world of writing and on readers lives. One time during her Salt Lake City appearance, "a shaking young girl approached Stephenie and stammered that she had been ready to kill herself, but that reading the Twilight books had given her a reason to live" (17). This shows what a powerful writer she is.

In the second book in the 'Wolves of Mercy Falls' trilogy, Grace has cured Sam, and he is now only human, which means opportunities he never thought possible now are! He even said, "The future stretched before me, infinite and growing and mine, in a way that nothing had ever been before"(55). This shows how Sam now has a chance to accomplish something in life, and is very excited to do so.

The major theme in this book is to live life to the fullest. Sam never knows when he's going to change into a wolf again, and he knows that this time, he won't change back. Sam only has a small amount of time left, but says to Grace, "We don't have time to be sad" (202). This is true because if you waste your time being sad about what will come, you won't be able to enjoy what is already happening.

His name is Sam, and a feel very bad for him because he had a very bad background, and his life has always been allover the place; between human and wolf. He expresses this when he states "For once in my life, I was here and nowhere else." (88)
