I saw a tiktok on this book by the author where the MMC called the FMC insane and other mean names for saying I love you because all he did was show her kindness. Normally, that would be enough to stop my interest. But the author swore up and down that the grovelling was more than enough... I shall be the critic for that😂

I think I would have been good with the slow burn if it wasn't for their inner monologues. They just keep talking about how much they want to be together but don't think they can be together and it's infuriating. IT TOOK THEM SO LONG JUST TO BLOODY KISS UGH.
