This has gone too far.. I might DNF.
I think this is because I am listening to the audiobook instead of reading the book.
But if you love dinosaurs..

A bit of a slower pace. There are a couple characters that I don’t enjoy and we have to listen to their prospective.
I love the going against the grain of not having a chosen one.
One of the main characters is a widow and it isn’t just a back story it is something that is actively affecting her decisions.

One mark against it so far is keeping up with the 4-6 women prospectives that are together. Not enou…

Could have done without without the “they/them”

This is incredible!!
Second series from this author that I have read. I feel as though I can officially say this author is in my top three authors!

I shouldn’t over hype this book because it certainly doesn’t not put the “epic” in epic fantasy.
Such amazing story teller. In a fantasy world where there is belief of “gods” and “spirits” among them he has the ability to spin things into the mundane.

Okay… I’m glad I am pushing through. This story is epic and incredible.
I do have to say (because I have stopped reading other books for this) this book is far more violent and graphic than the others. Volleyball at a concert IYKYK

Lots of chaos.
Shouldn’t have taken a break. I feel like I need to reread books. But it’s slowly coming back.
I still hate the multiple perspectives.

I don’t like the multiple perspectives.
I don’t like all the unfamiliar names. Hard to keep track of the stories if we switch to a different perspective with a ton of different names that don’t mean anything. Also how do I know if the perspectives are even happening at the same time as the of perspectives? Maybe I missed something. Not loving this one..

Very very crude book.
Once you know that and are okay with it. The writing, the story, incredible! Not my favorite but very entertaining.
Going into this book I had thought it was a standalone. It’s a shame it’s only the first book.

This book is full of lore I don’t care about..
Way too many dream prospective. Dreams are already so confusing, why tell a percentage of the story through them?
This book is also so slow. I did just finish a fantasy series that has a much faster pace.

I keep thinking maybe it’ll get better… maybe I will care about all of this..

This book isn’t good.
Good storytelling
The story being told is one we have already heard so much before.
A mix between Miss Born and the lies of Locke Lemora.
Except those books were exceptional.
This not so much..

So far this book is a 2.5 star.
There are just something’s you shouldn’t do, even if there is great shock value. Also not sure if this is supposed to be YA… but it’s definitely not for kids. But it also feels like it’s not for adults either.
One positive is that the main character has some depth. Refreshing after the last book.

I know nothing about this book and have very low expectations. We shall see though.

This book has such a great story! Great concept! I got so caught up in the story I thought I was reading a book by a male author. Then… the romance hit. How an avg chapter would go: epic edge of the seat story.. “man I can’t help staring at his Butt”
Terrible terrible romance… girls love this type of romance. Forbidden class system romance.

So I DNF this book a few months ago. I did not mean to pick it up again. The other day started playing after one of my books finished.

So technically my second read through the first half of this book.

This book is incredible! Dune level of world building. The way he writes the characters interactions is amazing. Like I’m watching a movie!
IF YOURE NEW TO SICFI DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! DONT READ IT.
This is a lot

This has been a really fun story so far.
My only complaint is; (as an audiobook listener)WHY DO WE HAVE A WOMAN NARRATOR FOR A MALE MAIN CHARACTER!?
She’s not doing a terrible job. It just
Makes it harder to listen to.
There are so far only 2-3 female characters what don’t speak much.

Most amount of POVs that I have read.
If you like kingdom politics from many perspectives, a full collapse of an empire, then you’ll love this!
This is an Asian inspired book… and I do terribly with names that aren’t American. (Me problem)

I like how it’s parcel out into different stories
Very comfortable, easy time travel.
Such a simple book dealing with rough life events.
I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover. But this cover seems very gender specific. I think anyone could enjoy this book though. And if I were to see it on a bookshelf, it definitely wouldn’t grab my eye.
