Ugh. I’ve figured out what is so annoying about the FMC. Anastasia gets preachy about therapy and what’s she’s learned and why she can forgive so-and-so because they haven’t had the benefit of hundreds of hours of therapy. But clearly all that therapy hasn’t helped her recognize that her skating partner is a textbook narcissist and completely toxic. Her giant blind spot is incredibly irritating.

It’s getting better now that the MCs aren’t being annoying af but I’m still trying to justify finishing this book when I have two incredible library books I need to read and return. And I think there was some hint dropping about a possible future book with Henry and Gen aka Imogen, Coach’s daughter. Or maybe Henry will end up with Daisy and JJ will date Gen? Anyway, I suspect she will pop up in the future.

I feel like I was tricked into reading this. There were a ridiculous amount of booktok recommendations for this one and I’m over 100 pages in and I can’t stop thinking about how incredibly annoying these characters are. There are some good things but I feel like every good point is really overshadowed but garbage.

Just finished part one and I’m glad that I read in reviews that the characters aren’t great people that because I think I would be much less interested in their fucked up developing relationship. I’m not connecting with any of the characters yet but I think that might be the point. I’m also not totally sold that I’m going to enjoy the book but I am curious so that’s something.

We finally get to see her brother and it was pretty anti-climatic. The pacing in this book isn’t quite as good as the previous two. I’m having a harder time staying engaged even though everyone is significantly MORE SPECIAL in this book.

I don’t dislike the story, it actually grows on you, but I wish the plot twists weren’t so heavily hinted at. It cheapens the moment when the reveals finally happen.

I’m trying to work through everything that happened in one night. These three just can’t stop betraying each other.

Just starting this reread but oh goodness… that moment when one of your all-time favorite book boyfriends is described for the first time..

It’s happening, it’s really happening!!!! Now to see how much I can read before I have to go to work...

I spent this weekend traveling the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky with the mister and it was one of the best getaways we've ever had.
Highly recommend!

Well, it has come to this...
I have over 250 unread downloads on my kindle account (we're not even going to talk about my other book accounts... *shudder*) and I've decided it's time to finally do something about it.

Aside from BRs/upcoming new releases I have already committed myself, I will not be adding any new planned reads this year until I can get the situation a bit more under control.

Well, he's got that part right. And so far, I've seen nothing that makes his character even remotely likable, so I'm leaning towards he has earned the revenge.

What am I reading right now? This guy's head is a weird place to be.

Well, I was doing an awesome job of trying to get caught up on my Update feed and now all of a sudden anytime I click on something in the center column I get bumped back all the way to the start of the feed.

Not sure why it keeps happening, but I no longer have a desire to continue scrolling. Guess I will just go back to doing real life things for a bit, no big...
*growls under breath*

A few pages later...

This situation escalated quickly...

Do I even want to know what could possibly constitute as "ruined" in a situation where one is being held as a sex slave?

I think in this instance ignorance is bliss.
