OK wait - this book gives me mixed feelings
I do find it an amusing read, but i've been researching the controversy a bit more and things start to make A LOT more sense. I don't think it's inherently problematic to explore the concept of Islamic terrorism, or to include a Christian religious awakening. But, writing multiple books all affiliated to themes like Muslim terrorism and 9/11 is iffy.

this is SO different from what i thought it would be ??? i like it, especially the writing style BUT i am missing cohesion in the story and between characters

distinct style and tone of voice, pretty funny

beautiful writing, a bit confusing at first but now i am hooked for the ending

letterlijk tweeën-fucking-tachtig procent in dit boek en i am bored out of my mind, er gebeurt NIETS? helemaal confused, can't wait to be done

i am still waiting for the cult to develop, so far it's a boring "welcome-to-your-new-office-job introduction week"

AND WHAT'S WITH ALL THE INAPPROPIATE TOUCHING?? transgressive behaviour in the workplace can also be amongst women, there doesn't have to be a man involved!!! hope it will be adressed later on...

it's giving me every emotion and i love this book so much!! but it's getting late and i have to work tomorrow - so i am savouring those last pages for tomorrow :)

still missing sisters i never had because of this book

i don't have sisters and this book makes me feel like i would have loved sisterhood

the portrayal of that rotting house is perfect

the awkwardness of the school handling the suicide is so REAL

i keep forgetting Lux was only 14 years old omg

grief but them breathtaking beautifully written, gives SO much more insight than the movie

the movie is my favourite movie, so i have high hopes for the book!!

already love to recognize details and scenes from the movie & getting so much more information on the girls
