Can't believe it took me this long to pick this one up! It's giving Pirates of the Caribbean vibes with its lore and magic and mystical pirate Islands and magic treasures and a undertone of doing the right thing through breaking the law. It's been awhile since I enjoyed a book to this extent!

I started this a couple of days ago, and it's just not keeping my attention. Like it's fine, but I keep getting distracted...

Ok I get why this is popular, but it has some starting issues. Like it should have started later. Cut the girst...150 pages and either explained or flashbacks or tell her beginning differently. It's a bit sloppy and honestly, boring. But yes once she is "caught" things pick up and it is a very enjoyable read

This is giving "The shape of water" inspired vibes🤔 not sure if I like it or not
