Omg. Pete! This is so tragic! Idk if I can handle this or not!! 😭

Oh my goodness. Poor River. I knew Hannah was alive bur Knox just had to make the ultimate sacrifice for Rivers sake. I hope he doesn't actually go through with it. I gotta say I'm really enjoying my new paperwhite to read on. The iPad was just to heavy to lug around. I'm so excited to be reading obsessively again. Onward.....

Things are getting much more interesting in the second installment of TKOC! I thoroughly like River. As far as a FMC goes, she is one of my favorites as of late. Strong willed, resilient, and can stand toe to toe with anyone without fear! What's not to love? I have a feeling things are about to get much more interesting what with the mystery of Rivers sister, Hannah, possibly being alive? Onward.........

So, I am taking this long to read this book bc I put it down for a while as I waited for the rest of the books in this series to arrive. I wanted my read of this series to be fluid. So now, onward…. Picking up where I left off!

So, I’ve just began reading book #2 and so far so good. I’m updating to say that I feel as though the Author must be very young. Some of it reads very juvenile tbh. I don’t like saying anything negative about Authors, as I adore them and they are vital, but this author seems like a teenager. Or as though English is their second language. I don’t know which but it makes it difficult for the reader for sure.

I just have to re-read this series! I am absolutely in love with it! I’ve read a lot of books, this series remains my favorite by far!

Just waiting for more books to be released to begin this series!

I just realized book two doesn’t come out until December. Think I’ll just wait to read this one until then!

I am loving the world building in this series! How imaginative! The story line is great and new! Giving how much I read, that is saying a lot! I cannot wait to see where this all leads!….

I just got bored at this point. May finish this later?

I’m holding off until the final book is out! Then I’ll start this series

So far I’m enjoying the book, the storyline has fully captured my attention. Can’t wait to see where this is going!

I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to read this box set! I just keep taking long breaks between reading it. It’s so unlike me. This isn’t because it isn’t good, I am just having a bit of information overload I suppose. A little too detail oriented in some spots and repeats of conversations and ideas making it a lil hard for me to stay in the story! Onward wayward child……

So far I’m not a fan of Georgia. At all! She gets offended entirely too easy, she is aware of the supernatural world and the danger awaiting her yet she insists on going home to a place she hates, and there is no chemistry between Georgia and Carter what so ever. I don’t see how they can develop into anything at this point! I’m going to stick it out a lil longer….. not a fan so far!

It has to be said, the nicknames get old very fast! It would be fine if demi-gods didn’t use them every. Single. Sentence. But I digress….

I am having such a hard time with this series thus far! I do not like the MC at all. She is very childish and is very cold when it’s not necessary! Some say it’s the world she has grown up in but I disagree, if anything she should be more mature and understanding! The demi-gods are also very childish, however, I’m giving it more time to see what happens. Maybe they’ll all grow up the further it goes?

These are good stories, but they seem to end abruptly?!

I literally cried laughing at this part! 🤣

I feel like everyone else at this point, it’s too repetitive! The same stuff, the same words, the same plot over and over. It’s hard Bc I love the characters and the world created, however, how many times do we need to hear repeatedly Draven justifying how he treated Keira in the beginning and explaining it to her over and over? The sex, the same, the story line the same! Ughhhhh I’m trying to finish continue!

I have such a hard time understanding Keira and Draven! I have been with my husband for 20 years, since I was 18 and I keep nothing from him! They drive me nuts with their games!

I do NOT like Keira right now! She is so weak! She walked in on Draven in the arms of another woman and she doesn’t freak out on him and leave? Seriously? Ahhhhh I’d go OFF if that were me. Then he turns it around on her, manipulates her into thinking it was all her fault and she just believes it 🙄🤬🤬! Borderline emotional abuse if you ask me!

I just have to say Keira’s insecurities is infuriating! I cannot imagine being with someone who is so insecure, questioning everything! It would get old fast!

So I just looked it up and this is a spin-off of the afterlife saga.. going to go read it first then circle back to this series to give it a fair shake….

Usually by this point in a book Im already hooked and can’t put it down, I don’t know why but so far it’s a struggle to read it. I am sticking it out just to see if it gets interesting or drags me in. I like that there are 12 books in this series and I am a huge fan of reading a series as apples to reading a stand alone so this is why I’m really trying here.. we shall see…..
