I wasn’t really the target audience for this book but this is good advice for people starting their career. The audiobook is good, too.

Great backstory on Haymitch but rambles at times.

Trying something different from hockey romance….one or two people have told me this is a good series so let’s give it a whirl.

Intriguing but you have to accept some kind of absurd assumptions for the plot to make sense.

Read in high school, now reading to see how it compares to modern times.

Reading this book for the first time ever in the year 2025 with my five year old…so far, he thinks Fudge is crazy. 💀

Way too long! The person who reads the audiobook also thinks they’re narrating porn!
Good plot but could’ve been reduced by about 100 pages. This author took the “slow burn” concept too far. Also, too many coincidences, even for a small town.

So far, I’d say this is a must read for parents of kids in this decade.

This is actually pretty good. Also very short. It’s more mature than Holes and probably meant for middle school or older children. It’s not appropriate for single digit age children. There are violent and sexual undertones. If they made this a movie, it would be PG13.

This book is decent but it’s not really a sequel. Consider it a standalone. The focus is on Eli’s dad and his new girlfriend who is like half his age. However, it’s written in a way that very much feels like a book. The interactions are so academic.

This one better not also end abruptly or else I’m driving to Jenny Hans house and having her verbally tell me the rest!!

Fluffy cozy mystery! Easy read, I’m sure this will be a Netflix movie in a year or two.

Currently, much better than Diary of a Wimpy kid but same general vibe.

It’s literally written like a diary, including like paper and sketches. A little mature for a four year old, I’ve had to edit some sections while reading it to Kir. I think the target audience is probably more 3rd-5th graders.

In my “involuntary reading” era…this book actually isn’t that bad for four year olds, although I’m editing some of the language when I read it aloud. The prank at the beginning was actually really harsh with the pepper and everything! Lol at the dated references to a VCR

Only like two chapters in and I’m pretty sure I can already guess the ending! But I’m sure the magic is in the journey and not the outcome.

Doing a re-read about ten years since I last read this. Used to be one of my favorite books in high school/college.

Definitely more my sort of book than Choke..
