I’m really not liking the book much. There is a passage where the author states that chemotherapy can be a horrible experience for the pet, which is absolutely wrong. Chemotherapy doesn’t affect animals the same way it does humans.
The author also adds to fear and worries by listing off ways that pets can suffer if they go missing. No one needs this added fear.

Incomplete sentence, the author literally ended a thought with a comma. Some harsh words as well. Trying to get through this book faster now.

It seems to have several lines or sentences repeating verbatim

It’s like a nature documentary on animals in the safari. “What looks harmonious above ground turns out to be the beginning of a fight for survival below the surface.” The author has a dramatic way with words. Also, every chapter is comparing the trees to people.
