I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now, but only when I could give it my full attention. Now that I’ve started it, I am hooked.

Genuinely everything Bates says in the book baffles me, but what’s even worse, is everything she says is really happening and backed up by credible citations. 😖

Honestly, I’m starting to think that I may not need to be reading this book. I feel like this book is just the author saying “wow these people in Norway must be soooo depressed, who would want to live in the winter?!”.

I think I agree with the Norwegians though, winter is one of the best seasons, I can’t wait for skiing and ice fishing soon ☺️

I am ALL about regenerative agriculture, but at what scale is it actually feasible? I feel like Shiva has big ideas, and they're good ideas, but in practice, they mean nothing. It's borderline one big fantasy.

Ngl it’s very hard to decipher and a pretty slow start, but it’s also one of my friend’s favourite books in the whole world though so I am going to see it through. Plus, it’s been nice having something to listen to on my commute!
