I didn’t even like the first book very much but somehow I ended up with an ARC of this, so let’s roll.

This book should have been three books.

One hour into this book and Creon has already stormed off, full of angst, like a toddler. I regret everything.

Less than 15% into this and Tycho is already being abused by everyone. I hate this.

The sky and the sand and the sea and Corr is one of the most beautiful lines ever written.

I am strongly considering DNF. Matilda is insufferable and Vincent does not make up for her complete lack of personality.

I love this book more than nearly any other book, but Jane becoming emaciated and nearly dying after not eating for two days is one of the silliest episodes in literature.

This moping, angsty, “melodramatic wall cactus” is the character I never knew I needed.

My husband read about this book in an article and recommended it to me, so maybe I have A Type.

The title and blurb for this book are absolutely unhinged.

Still one of the only books I’ve read where the “I’m keeping a secret from you” trope is done exceptionally well.
