The set up for this book makes no sense. Why would a well educated person, who is physically and financially independent from a family he hates, give that same family 80% of his earnings and cave in in all their demands? Oh, they make a scandal at his work place, show up at his apartment and are violent, won't stop calling ? Get a restraining order, change your phone number and move to a new apartment. Conflict over.

I had to laugh. The US is the one without national requirement for paid leave and yet the author thinks somebody from Russia wouldn't know this existed ? When Russians are entitled to 28 days of paid leave per year?? 🙄
