I never DNF a book but I’m afraid I can’t finish this one.
I’m 250 pages in and so bored, I don’t even want to finish.
I love historical fiction usually, I’ve read many books and am well educated on the series of events that played out in the Second World War.
the queens voice is so woe is me, whilst still living a life of such comfort, so far removed from the everyday experiences of her people. It’s dreadful.

It’s Been a while since a book Made me cry. Loved this story!

Hit a stall on this one. Hoping to pick it up again and finish it soon.

Stuck just past halfway. Not sure when I’ll pick it up again.

It took me a while to warm up to the quirky character of Eleanor. This is an endearing story of the human ability to cope with tragedy and just exactly how much we need, and thrive when we have those who love us unconditionally in our lives. An Amazing story.

What an amazing story! The fact that this book is based on a real life woman sniper makes this book even better.
