I need to put this book on hold. Half way through, and its clear to me that this is basic (as in not-extraordinary) YA fiction. The pacing is frustrating, and the bouncing back and forth through the timeline is unnecessary to the story. When a writer states in a story "his cell phone buzzed angrily at him".. I know I shouldn't be expected quality fiction, lol. I need something extraordinary right now.. not this.
