It's kinda shocking that no one in any reviews has mentioned that the core friendship storyline is blatantly taken from Mythic Quest.. lol *eyebrow raised*

Mythic Quest was a TV show about a game-developing duo (male / female) with one of asian ancestry and very similar quirks to the female MC in this book.
Oh okay, so not the game. I read other reviews that mentioned the author stealing the game from someone else. Did a search for that and found a few articles about it. I wasn’t a fan even before I found that out but that made me even less so.
oh yes, i did read that too actually.. so i guess yes to original question lol
