It's been at least two decades since the last time I read this. I've forgotten how much this book impacted my own prose and took roots I later grew on.

She's 18. He's probably a wee bit older. And they have histories and psychological thought shapes that belong to 30+ year olds. Sigh.

I'm doing this audiobook style. The narrator for Hades is terrible and sounds like bad AI. I hate it when authors magically decide to incorporate different POVs in the middle of a series.

Does this get better? I liked the main character's POV but now this new dude is giving me all kinds of want to DNF and I've been stuck on the same 3 pages for a few days.

Listen guys this book is not great. Too many descriptions of how hot Xaden is during moments of actual life threatening danger. It's hard to stay immersed. Less than 6 hours left so I'm still going to finish it, but I don't see myself resuming this series when the third installment is published.

Never noticed how often Feyre's breasts "tighten" and "get heavy". Maybe she should see a doctor about it?

This cover looks nothing like what I imagine Tybalt. Then again the same could be said for Toby for each and every book so far.

Timeline wise, this is happening more or less in the now, so why are they worried about making a trans-atlantic call? Don't they have whatsapp or its equivalent in their universe?

This is VERY long. Like over 30 hours long (I'm listening to it as an audiobook). Parts of it are interesting, but honestly, I've listened to this on flights, on drives, etc, and there were parts I slept through (not while driving). With 6 hours left to go, I don't feel like I missed anything vital during my sleeping. It's just too big for the story it's trying to tell.

Still in the middle of this, but I have to admit, I'm so confused. It's part 50 shades with a Peter Pan skin, part really good and exciting romance. SO CONFUSED!

So I couldn't get past the first few chapters every time I tried to read this. Now I'm listening to it, which made it much easier to digest. I still think the beginning is the worst SJM has written so far, but it really does get better after that.

How the heck did SOPHIE go from being my second most hated character, to my absolutely favorite character?! I cryyyyyyy!!!

What?! For two books we've had to endure raging hardons whenever she uses a nickname of his, and now it's because whenever she uses it, it reminds him that it was the thing that pulled him back from being caught in his PTSD? That's what gives him a hardon?! WHAT?!
