Should probably finish a book or two

Really enjoying the return to my A Levels with John Locke, John Maynard-Keynes, post war economic policies and even El Niño/La Nina

Arguably the wrong order to read these in but realised I hadn’t actually read the hobbit since year 7 and probably couldn’t tell you a great deal about it so here we are.

I find it unreasonably exciting when a book mentions a different topic i know a little about, currently getting very excited about mentions of the Crimean war and Tsar Alexander II

I fear this book is not helping with my habit of excessive philosophising (mind you this happens with most books I read so maybe I’m the problem here)

Because we all know I really needed to start another book before finishing anything else

Was not expecting Rory Stewart to make an appearance ngl

Failing to read the prologue was once again detrimental to my reading experience so had to go back and do that after a couple of chapters and now I’m enjoying it lol

I’m really enjoying this approach to writing a biography by focusing on certain days in detail

I have indeed got to the bit where “things start to happen”

Reading about bible smuggling in the 1950s from a guy who was clearly successful is evidently fairly stressful (dread to think what the first hand experience would be)

Apparently this week I’m making up for barely reading anything over the past few years
