Loving this easy read!

This book has not captivated me. Feels juvenile. My Libby reservation is expiring and I’m not even that annoyed 😅 I’ll have to pick it back up when it becomes available again; it’s not bad enough to DNF.

Got a couple chapters in at Brick 95 Cafe

I understand the hype behind this book! The narrator is the same person from another book I listened to, and that was a bit difficult to get over; plus there’s a character in this book with the same name as in the other book 😵‍💫 this is my first time running into this and I did not expect to be hung up on it 😅

It’s a UK book so now I get to pretend that words like knackered & answerphone are totally normal and do not require me to stop in my reading tracks
Thankfully the book “cracked right on” 😬

Long Chapters 😮‍💨

A large family loses their mom and the dad suffers from depression, leaving the 13 year old daughter next in line for household management. Hate to see it 😔

Elizabeth not liking Mr. Darcy, but accidentally accepting a dance with him and then kicking herself for it, then starting conversation only because she knows he isn’t going to like it and then critiquing him on his conversation skills - petty little thing 🤣 v relatable! 😬

10 pages is all I could do before my eyes starting closing last night 😴 I thought for sure I’d be able finish it 😅

I love how back then they used 37 words just to say “she is in everyone’s business” because SAME! 🤣 but also this audiobook is playing on 0.9 speed cause my brain is working overtime to comprehend 😮‍💨
