Look. It's not a bad book. But it desperately needs a redraft by the author and 2-3 strong passes from a bold editor. Redefinition of terms within the same chapters. Repetitive framing of introductory question -> explanation. Reassertion and wordy description. It makes the book a heavily-padded slog, without the joy of pleasing turns of phrase or challenging insights.

Finally got to the chapter dealing with HOAs in particular and corporations as private governments, due to the high influence they have on people's freedom as conceived in the liberal democratic sense. Fascinating.
