I love when the dedications page is a tribute to the villains of stories. You know it’s going to be interesting

I cannot empathize with Chloe and low key hate her.

This man is 4 weeks post op from an Achilles tendon repair… in what world is he strutting into a club for sex? The man is in a CAM boot and on crutches still 🤦‍♀️ I highly doubt he’s about to go dancing.

So far the premise is interesting but the dialogue is wordy with too many metaphors.

Adding to the DNF pile. This one had such praising reviews but I literally cringed the entire time 🥴

This one was a DNF for me. I made it 40% through the audiobook but gave up. It couldn't keep my interest. I'm not sure if it was because of the plot moving slowly or if it was the breathy whispering of the narrators. I just kept wanting them to enunciate more and felt like it was dragging.

Not sure how far I am but feeling irritated. The language is abrasive and not really realistic. The timeline is all over the place, yes El Diablo is older than our new MC but um what? How old? Also creepy that he's been waiting until she's of legal age and "watching over her". The intro to the book, how can you set us up for a sweet romance + then be all oh but wait here is this new heroine/love interest? Frustrated.

What book encourages putting lotion “down there”?!

PSA: nothing goes “down there.” It’s bad for your vaginas ph balance 🙄

This is my first LGBTQ romance, and WOW is this author killing it. The book is already amazing and really puts to light the flaws within our society. I’m assuming that Raleigh is meant to be current societal norms and that the new lands that Velasin is married into are what we one day hope to strive for regarding consent, identity, and autonomy. I look forward to the day we can accept one another as they do.

I’ve found myself cringing so far and wondering, should I keep going? I detest the main characters selfishness and competitiveness. It’s one thing to have motivations and drive but an entire other world when you destroy your life long friendships to pursue your own achievements.

This is in audiobook format and I'm still struggling to get through it. I hate to not finish the series out, because I always need to know the ending but this might just be one of those added to the #DNF pile.

I’ve tried a few times now to read this but have struggled to get through the first 100 pages. The information is intriguing but the manner in which it is presented feels scattered and almost list like.

Sadly adding it to my DNF pile.

Female spies are so badass. Socialite turned CIA spy this one is so much more interesting than Next Year In Havana.

Definitely was able to guess who the DT killer was but I did not see that twist coming. Such a great way to tie the story line back to the original books title 👌

Absolutely fascinating. Relegating tales of famous murders through poison, the science being famous poisons, and their potential benefits to the scientific community this book is incredible.

I’m Certainly impressed that in the 19th century there was a scientist whose hobby was tasting alkaloids and was so proficient that he could determine the compound faster than colleagues with scientific methods.

This one has a slow start but is so sweet and makes you feel the nostalgia of the past. The reader can feel the change in the sisters, not just in age but their growth and wisdom since The Rules Of Magic.

This book is hilarious. The back and forth potential plots that they come up with is so entertaining. Both the characters are enjoyable and such opposites. First book in awhile that I’m reading and have been in it since page one.
