I have whiplash. We went from discussing Marius’ daily habits minute by minute to a high stress action sequence where someone is about to be murdered. Victor, my neck hurts.

I love a good pun, glad we can agree on that Hugo.

Fauchelvant is hilarious, I now want a garden, and know way to much about the gamin of Paris. Let’s get back to the plot Victor.

12 pages of deep analysis of convents and monasteries and how we view them as outsiders looking in but also how they view the “infinite” being God. Wild Sunday morning read.

Bad quote!! “…the reader may allow us another small digression, unconnected with the substance of this book…”

brother no the reader does not. It is never small.

Jean Valjean and Cosette make me weep and if anything happens to them I will be so upset.

Audiobooking this and the narrator is fabulous

My reading goal is 1 book and 1 book only. And it’s Les Mis. I will not finishing another book until Les Mis is conquered. (But I’d did finish this one and it was nice!)
