I'm not quite done with book 1, and it is far more entertaining than I perceived it to be when I saw it popping up in friends' inventory. I assumed from its look it would be a pulpy read. This is...not that. It's clever without trying too hard, and the characters are fantastically...believable. No spoilers. Just read it, already.

Life is too short to read books that don't sit right. Hendrix's prose is a warm brain-hug that scratches all the itches. Like coming home and refusing to wear pants because you're no longer contractually obligated. So glad to be flipping through another Hendrix page-turner. The guy writes oxygen. Good shit.
