Keeping lots of notes.

Well I’m just about to start “Thursday“.

It’s OK. I certainly don’t love it. I can see some things starting to gather, and these things will turn into interesting things, I believe.

If it didn’t come so highly recommended, I would be moving on at this point.

I’m nearly 1/4 of the way through this book, and I’ve chuckled out loud once, gently.

Not much has caught me. I am hopeful, as so many of y’all, my Goodreads friends, seem to like this, quite a bit.

Nearing the end of chapter 10, and while I I’m not thrilled with the people, I’m blushing. This is pretty cute here, this first physical touch, with the shoulder injury. Blush blush

Chapter 9 charming banter!

Oh, well that’s legitimately adorable. He says that he likes reading her romance novels, even after they’ve broken up, because he gets to hear her voice in his head.

“Ryan called me every day for a month after we broke up.”

Not cute

OK, end of chapter 4 got me to laugh out loud. I almost didn’t make it to the end of chapter 4, because I can’t stand any of these characters, which is unfortunate for me, because I want to.

Oh my gosh, the annoying ex-boyfriend is trying to convince our heroine that she wants to go talk to her other ex-boyfriend, who just randomly showed up at his bar, with another lady.

Ryan should not be pressuring her to do this. There is no reason to do this. Ryan is not cute.

Ugh. Chapter 2 the bride refers to two of her work friends as, “basically mid range prostitutes“, and in a flattering way to neither her nor her friends. It doesn’t bode well for the author.

Well. Just finished chapter 1, I didn’t keep track of the number of times that I cringed, but it is more than a monogamous pair of cringes.

I am a good little book reader, and I will keep going.

Slow going, as it isn’t keeping my attention, so I chose other books.
