this is by FAR the best cover in the palace of rogues series. and dot and pike are already bickering which means they have to fall in love eventually and if JAL does one thing right (she does MANY things right) it’s a slow burn. i fear this may already be my favorite.

dom is still an asshole who outwardly thinks torie is less intelligent because she can’t read (dyslexia) but you can see the realization that she’s brilliant slowly starting to turn in his mind…i can’t wait for it to fucking hit him over the head, and i’m so glad torie calls him out for his condescension and rude comments

“he flexed his chest muscles, which made him feel ridiculous but gave her something to look at” he is actively attempting to convince torie to marry him by taking of his shirt and flexing. he’s an idiot and it’s working
