First blood for 2020 goes to Raven books and one of the efficient publicists at Bloomsbury who sent me a new year release paperback last week. Sooo exciting starting a spreadsheet for next year! :)

So here I am again with this series, ‘reading’ out of order as usual. It definitely doesn’t matter though with this author. Always very entertaining!

This true crime piece works very well as an audio book. Like listening to a long form, meticulously researched podcast.
I remember only pieces of the reportage about this mother and child, and the book is doing a fantastic job with stitching all the fragments together.

The library is going to suck this back into the vortex before I can finish. *wail*

Haven’t read book one in this historical crime series, but luckily for me it holds up well as a stand-alone.
