It's midnight. I downloaded this book earlier, broke my own rules by reading at the dinner table, and now it's midnight and I'm halfway through. I normally go to bed at 8pm. Just saying...

First time in a while that I've been sucked into a book like this.

It's better written than most of what I've read recently...

"So why is the mere idea of a baby causing a rift between us?" Probably because Dean feels lied to. Ya'll got married on the basis of a childfree existence. Now suddenly you want a baby? Hell no.

Man, I feel bad for Dean.

This book is freaking frustrating. It's trying to be suspenseful but it's just... frustrating. Argh.

I am no longer enjoying this book, but I want to see what other ludicrous things they do before it ends. :\

LMAO at being on the road for "twelve hours straight" at 100mph in a friggin' Escalade without stopping for gas. A 2014 Escalade gets 14mpg city/18mpg highway with a 26 gallon tank. In other words, at REGULAR SPEEDS, you're getting 468 miles per tank, all highway, at normal RPMs. Assuming 12 hours at 100 miles an hour... just no, okay?

Peyton was a male name in the late 1800s. So was McKenzie, although it wasn't particularly popular. Kaydie? Hahaha.

I think i would enjoy this more if it were written by a man. how gross and sexist does that sound? I just think it would be better with a harder edge to it. Right now all I think is that the captain is too soft.

UGH.

Not gonna lie, I've had goosebumps more than a few times. And it's so casual, like nothing in this book should really freak me out, because I barely even know or care about the characters, but it totally has.

I want to like this book, but it's so... preachy and negative re: alt lifestyles.
