Despite this book being published over a decade ago, it is spot on regarding current issues still plaguing society. Every detail so far I have found a connection to things happening today. For instance, the cruelty of the Juvey-rounders parallels to the cruelty of ICE agents and the laws surrounding embryos and forcing women to carry them. The disturbing fiction of the early 2010s is now even closer to reality.
