I can't decide if this is really poorly written, really poorly narrated as an audiobook, or both.

There's something about the plotting, writing, and pacing that bothers me, but I can't figure out what it is. But, I like the story well enough.

Ok but how does Paul know.

Why is this police officer messing everything up. Ugh. Could have made these reveals more interesting.

There is so much happening right now

That reveal was ALMOST an immediate DNF. I hate that trope.

The "surprises" and "twists" in this one are super obvious.

First re-read I've done of this series. How in the world did this first book hook so many people? It's so.... meh.

I forgot how much whiplash you get reading this book with all the POVs

So have the two main love interests actually met each other yet?

A little over dramatic

Super interesting and enjoyable so far. I don’t entirely feel like it’s set in the post WW1 era.
