Z is loving this one! I wasn't sure this was the right time to introduce it, but she has asked for another chapter (or several) every time we read out loud.

There are some themes in this one (alcoholism, jail, her mother leaving, etc.) that are more mature than I would have chosen, as well as some language (insults from child to child, not profanity) we have chosen to skip over.

What a phenomenal book. I'm already considering buying it to reference throughout the liturgical year (even if I have to filter Catholic practices through my own denomination's theology and tradition)

Going in blind on this one, but excited to try! I have heard excellent reviews.

I am greatly enjoying this audio book, but as I am used to reading these in two sittings, it's felt much longer as a listen (not altogether bad, just different)

The voice actor does a wonderful job, though!

I could not, for the life of me, tell you why this book has so completely captivated my attention, but I find myself looking for even five minutes during the day to snatch it up and read what comes next
