As an adult, I’m confusing reading this and have to keep rereading to figure out which characters we are talking about.

This is a middle grade book. Let’s not confuse the kids with improper grammar.

Librarians cannot tell people the books you have checked out. There is some confidentiality and privacy there. Especially not random strange little girls who ask. Maybe that’s why the library is closing

Why do all the siblings only share one parent.

1:51:57 mark and major editing mistake. Landry asks Rue what she got her "brother" for his birthday, but at this point in the story, Landry doesn't know Rue is Wyatt's sister. Shortly after, Landry sees Wyatt's sister in the birthday slideshow and thinks about how he hasn't asked about Stephanie at all.
