Struggled to give this book a 3 or a 4, because while it was an interesting take on the time between life, death and crossing over, it didn’t quite fully hit for me. I do love TJ Klunes writing style. Definitely a different book, but I’m going to settle on a 3, as it’s just not quite a 4 for me.

I don’t typically say anything about the books I read and I don’t think I’ve ever given a book 5 stars. But this book was something special. I definitely went out of my reading comfort zone with a contemporary fantasy and I’m so glad I did! This book was beautifully written, heartwarming, reflective, and had my imagination working overtime. It’s a warm hug with so many mirrors reflecting our human reality.

I found the author to be a bit condescending and repetitive at times. I actually felt anxious reading parts of it. With that said, I appreciate knowing how the brain works in babies/children versus adults, as it’s helped me understand how to better communicate with my son. There were a lot of great parenting ideas in this book that I’m looking forward to implementing. Overall, worth the read!
