considering it’s been nearly a year since i last picked this up i think i’m going to have to put this on the “ill finish it i promise” shelf for now. i’m still really interested in getting through it eventually and i know i’ll kick myself for not sticking with it in the first place when i no doubt end up loving it but for now it’s going away

i hate my need to know what happens next and how he redeems himself from this clusterfuck because this is borderline painful to read. it’s good but it’s so fucking slow and i cannot seem to really get into it.

i’m so intrigued by what’s going on and i don’t know if it’s just because i haven’t had the time or energy to really get stuck into it but i find myself only being able to read a chapter or two before getting bored?
like i’m interested in how this all pans out but it feels like it’s taking ages to actually get anywhere? the first two days take up the whole first fifth of the book?

i’m only 36% through and i’m already dreading the ending because i know there’s going to be one more book… i’m a slut for a happy ending and i think i can surmise that we will not be anywhere near that at the end of this book.

i have been trying to finish this for SIX DAYS NOW and now that i’m at the final 10% i don’t want to finish it TT

guys. this is fucking insane.

did i stay up until 2am to get to 70%? yes. yes i did.

how am i only halfway through?? 😭😭
like, on one hand i don’t want this series to end because i’m so attached to literally every single character but also SEVEN HUNDRED PAGES HELP ME

i despise that this is written in first person PAST TENSE

i will persevere because it’s interesting so far but i do not understand what compels someone to write a story in past tense when they’re describing things in the present
