I think Fern’s flaw is the only instance in a story where I’ve /liked/ miscommunication as a story point (or trope). This one is quiet. But real.

Anyway have I told you how much I love and ADORE Astryx One-Ear, Blademistress, the Oathmaiden?

Man, this is such concise and heartfelt story of belonging and purpose. Surprisingly almost directly mirroring the existensialist musings I’m reading about in my other (non-fiction) book. Huh!

Sorry but the Chekhov’s gun of (everything really, but especially) the bracelets is killing me already. I just know I’m gonna cry at the end of this, these sillies have my heart

I just adore how this series is written. Love a story that knows where it’s going, in the best simplest way; It’s so clear, and not lacking nor over-abundant in anyway. Good food

Huge fan of Astryx One-Ear, Oathmaiden, Blademistress etc etc

Love when insanely powerful elves let slip back into their innocence and youthful aspects. Also collecting those like pokemon

Why am I being blasted with so many new words

Unrelated, but I have come to realize Christmas is just medieval for me - maybe my seasonal craving for Sims Medieval is only natural when I’ve grown up watching Reisen Til Julestjernen and Tre Nøtter Til Askepott.
Well, no wonder cosy high fantasy books fits right in, then!

This writer is so funny, the reads on various people are cold lmfao, drag him queen

Keeps a nice tone balance with the very depressing WW2 happenings coming after:/

The bookmark i’m using for this book is a cat with a pink bow (or flower) on its back reading a book with a big magnifying glass, and that’s very appropriate to how I feel reading this book

I know I shouldn’t be starting yet another book but I got this from Nick, in light of our Nier:Automata and philosophy talks, and couldn’t help myself

Bakewell is very funny so far, and I feel like I’m getting not just a definitive informative introduction to modern existentialism, but also the contemporary contexts! Fun to read about emerging trendy existentialist fashion that is still the exact same today

So far, this is very clearly written and easily digested. I’m taking my time, and I’m not unfamiliar with most of the basic concepts, but I feel like I am learning something!

I wanna challenge myself to practice painting only adjusting value and chroma now…

I’ve flipped through this one before but never really sat and dedicated myself to read the whole thing.
Immensely inspiring and useful as a tool when I’m actively trying to storyboard.
(Like everyone who has ever read it will tell you. Which is why i got it a decade ago.) Waow. Who would have guessed?

«Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it’s actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe.»

Starting to think that reading Eragon as a kid influenced my use of semicolons in addition to the vegetarianism.

«Love, family, accomplishments— they are all torn away, leaving nothing. What is the worth of anything we do?
The worth is in the act. Your worth halts when you surrender the will to change and experience life. But options are before you; choose one and dedicate yourself to it. The deeds will give you new hope and purpose.»

To no one’s surprise, my mind is torn between a high fantasy fixation and a mood for vampires. Surely starting two different books on the same day to satisfy both will end well.

Maybe this run of the Inheritance Cycle I shall finally finish the 4th book!

General misogyny of the 1800s aside, these guys know how to embellish the fuck out of romantic prose about these women’s beauty, especially their eyes
