Abandoning. His words deride my values and worldview as “silly” but I keep reading it as hostility and can’t keep going. Aside from that there is value in the tips I’ve read and one should take the time to practice skills rather than reading the whole book at once. Some of it does feel to crossover into manipulation, but that’s kind of hard to put a finger on - different people have different lines.
