As much fun(?) as I am having fun with the Empyrean series, this romance between Xaden/Violet is exactly what Emily Bronte criticizes. Sometimes, I think that Xaden/Violet are the same person and so many of the characters are just flat tropes

that delicious slowburn between two souls that are so similiar has got me aching for me <3

the minute i heard that book 8 was on pre-order, yk i had to use the last of my funds for this

I am so confused. Is America not friends with Kriss or what?? All this for a man, cmon....

Just got lost on what genetically pure and damaged means

when they say that the elite was messy, they were right

sometimes, i can believe in cass' worldbuilding, but then it blows up when i get reminded of why the selection exists

Okay, so I borrowed this last month bc I was so unsure whether i like it. and i have to say the selection is a guilty pleasure. its hitting that early 2010s ya dystopia craving i got.

anyways, the overall vibe that im getting is that this america's next top model for teens. (and i can never get over the fmc being called america. i just keep thinking the book is talking about the country, not the fmc)

Now I understand why Pride & Prejudice is a classic. Jane Austen really was the blueprint for sassy FMC and dark haired broody MMC. What I enjoyed the most was probably how Elizabeth overcame her prejudice against Darcy in a natural way. Maybe I'm a dumbass but I want to see Darcy's growth in that way and the fevorant passions. i think it's just me and I want to see the passion and be loved that way.

STELLA IS A REPUBLICAN???? MY WEDDING PLANNER????

In hindsight, I shuld probably stop reading books out of nostalgia. It's only chapter 1 and I'm mortified by my middle school taste.

I'm either a dumbass, but is V a demon or a ghost? For half of the book I was convinced that V was a ghost, but is actually a demon. Anyways , I would have rated this lower, but the ending was really just oomf. I didn't expect that tbh. Or I kinda did, but I love the ambiguity of it.
