I'm not crying, you're crying.

I. Am. Screaming. I'm doing backflips. The tension is killing me. I thought I was broken, and that YA no longer had the appeal that it did. So far, I'm head-over-heels, desperately in love with this book, despite some obvious shortcomings. It's magical without actual magic-magic, and I just... can't!

I don't usually comment while reading, but that first chapter is really gripping. Just wanted to share, I was quite impressed. I've rarely come across such engaging openings.

I'm having a really strong emotion right now. So strong, I'm *this* close to DNFing the book. I'll go cry some now and hope this passes.
