reading about covid is so bizarre… literally wtf did we go through? its so strange to read the words of someone going through quarantine after 6 years had passed… 6 YEARS??? THATS INSANE!!! like im freaking out over here bcuz we genuinely haven’t grasped how much our lives then and our lives now have been impacted bcuz of covid

insane transition between the ukraine and budapest chapters

i stumbled upon this book a couple of months ago and when i saw the ‘istanbul’ chapter i immediately turned the pages to see what was up with it.

the first lines read:
“the erasmus exchange had only just started in amsterdam.”

i knew i had to read this book. and having just finished the chapter i bawled my eyes out. i really have no singular original experience whatsoever.

genuinely how -IN WHAT WORLD- do you think its acceptable for you to leave your wife that just birthed your child in the hospital TO GO PLAY BASEBALL?? can’t believe these are some real experiences women had to go through and SOMEHOW STILL ENDURES TODAY cuz apparently that wasn’t a big enough reason to leave that scum of a man
