Why would you borrow that much money from multiple different people. If you have to borrow from even two people, then maybe you should start to cut your losses, not keep pushing.
Also, it's really annoying to me that no one seems to care about the FMC's well-being. It's framed as we're protecting the prime minister, don't you want to too; money aside. I feel like they should have stressed more about her protection.

I'm surprised at how accurate some of the culty terminology is. The cult in this book reminds me of the Rajneesh movement that happened in Oregon.

Also thought it was funny that one of the members was asked why she gave the cult all of her money, if she was forced to. And her response was 'have we asked you for money' like no of course not hes not indoctrinated yet.

I think I might DNF this. I don't know why I picked it up when I hate baseball. I thought it might be romance-focused, but sadly, it's super baseball-heavy. The writing wasn't connecting with me, and the third-person POV wasn't doing it any favors either.
