To have a dancer make a statement that the waltz is rigid: "there’s zero room for improv or personality" is ridiculous.

Author, have you ever danced the waltz!? Also, there are multiple types of waltzes. She's a trained dancer. This doesn't make sense.

She's such a doormat.

Not a fan of doormat hot mess heroines with abusive family. Especially when the sister is awful!

And I hate how Ava decides to have sex with someone else right away.

Or how so much of this book is in their minds and how they aren't communicating with each other.

It is also super creepy to promise someone a person. I get the idea of fated mates, but telling someone you would receive a human being as "your prize"? Super creepy!

It always seems a bit creepy to me when someone is generated into life as an adult, with no history, and becomes a love interest right away. They feel like a child, not a viable love interest!

This beginning doesn't match the tone of the series at all! Also, a little weird, unnecessary backstory for this dude.

I'm gonna keep reading because it's probably a fun time, but this is not how I would start the story!

I fully expect this to be terrible. Hopefully it will be fun.

This is bonkers. Why would a teacher put his hand on a students lower back!? I get why a romance author wants him to do so. But, it doesn't make sense and it makes him look like a creep!

Seriously, nothing makes sense. Why we got men "holding her in their lap" or "closing the door so it's just the two of them in a room".

I hate when main characters start thinking of having a random hook up, especially when they are with the love interest. And they aren't thinking of having a hook up with the love interest.
