I am not sold on him. He has been a douche. Yes, they were childhood sweethearts and lovers, but there has been no action to show that he is a worthy human being for her to be with.

All that's happened in this book is that he has talked to her and she has realized that the past wasn't what she thought it was. The present still is an issue for him being a douche.

Them getting sexy now gives me the ick.

This beginning is silly and over the top. It's like the author couldn't come up with a situation that felt authentic so just went bonkers with their idea. Or, decide that romantic comedy has to be stupid to be funny

I "love" how they are building their relationship by him mansplaining to her how to work out. Because, of course, she wouldn't know.

Also, why must this start with instalust!? It's a romance but they don't have to be soooo horny for each other.

Introducing the "hero" by having him be self-centered does not win me over. And I'm not one over by his lusting after her either. And not recognizing her as someone he knows.

I think having Charlie flirt so much in front of Simon is hurtful because I can tell Simon has the biggest crush. Even if Simon doesn't know.

I'm really bummed by Charlie hitting on Simon's ex now.
