After reading Rocket Boys I see that only a child ignorant of history would be inspired by Wernher von Braun. At least Rocket Boys acknowledges bon Braun’s dark past, if only a casual mention which is enough, the book was not about Nazis.
von Braun is a despicable person.

Like some other reviewers have said, this book has turned into a sort of reading quicksand experience. I pick it up, read a bit, get bored of reading fact after fact after fact without an overarching narrative and then I put it down.

One of the best forewords I've ever read.
