The first time I read Jane Austen's "Emma", I disliked it. Upon further readings and as I aged, I realised what an extremely witty, subtly funny novel it is.......This book, this Enduring Night is 'coming' a close second. OK, it's not Laugh-Out-Loud, more....an internal snigger.
