Now I really am laughing out loud. A favourite saying of my Grandmother has just appeared...."We don't keep dogs and bark ourselves!" Haven't heard it for years. Mad me laugh and then made me sad.

The first time I read Jane Austen's "Emma", I disliked it. Upon further readings and as I aged, I realised what an extremely witty, subtly funny novel it is.......This book, this Enduring Night is 'coming' a close second. OK, it's not Laugh-Out-Loud, more....an internal snigger.
