Fmc reminds me of Nautolans from Star Wars universe, both in appearance and physiology. Except her eyes seem more human-like. The book is also better written and has more worldbuilding than your garden variety self-pubbed sci-fi romance, which bodes well for my attention. Mmc, Davik, is the kind of guy who hides awkwardness and insecurity under "mouth never closes" syndrome, he's super chatty and adorable.

Somehow I just finished a book full of death, gore and cosmic horror and it didn't bother me as much as realizing this is another abusive parent plotline...

Very little romance and fade to black so far. The plot twists tho!

That WH40K Servitor story throwback...

2/2 in recent sci-fi someone is part-alien. Weird it happened twice in a row.

I was highly anticipating this release. Female alien looking like Nautolans from Star Wars? Tall warrior fmc x short king engineer mmc? Love the premise. Please rescue me from this romance reading slump I'm in.

How the heck am I 22% in and fmc is barely in the picture? It's mostly endless moviemaking scenes, but are we progressing anywhere?

I don't think it's physically possible for a small planet to be in a dual-planet system with a big planet, unless it's a moon of a big planet, but then it also has its own moons? And how exactly do you see both the eclipsed sun and the gigantic planet? I guess we're just rolling with this...

The depictions of body dysmorphia and gender envy are very spot on.

Thor x Loki, but Thor is a woman and it's gender-bent omegaverse (female alpha, male omega). My interest is piqued.
