i’m smelling Christian propaganda….

i didn’t realize this book was unfinished when i got it….

decided i’m in a no-buy book year… preparing for a longgg year of reading a bunch of old tbrs

i mean i hate to be a hater here given the hype but im just not sure im a huge fan… the female characters are a lot more fleshed out (so far) than in other books of this kind but i feel like the mc is just a copy paste of every other fantasy novel ive read recently

if i just ignore everything that doesn’t make sense it’s actually pretty good

almost 100 pages in and i truly don’t understand a single thing about this world… horrible news for the people who told me this was like red rising

joe abercrombie’s writing is as unique as always - unfortunately i think i wasn’t ready for it this time… this book feels like an extremely fast paced fever dream with waaaaay too much vomit

this faerie stuff is gonna be hard to get through

there is something that is so frankly off-putting happening in this book
